“Plan Ahead, But Plan With Him”

Dec 31, 2025

As we stand on the threshold of 2026, it is natural to look ahead with a mix of hope, anticipation, and uncertainty. New years invite new plans. We set goals for our families, our work, our faith, and our future, trusting that this next chapter will be better than the last. Scripture gently reminds us in Proverbs 19:21: “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” These words are not meant to discourage planning, but to anchor our hearts. They call us to remember that while we may not control every outcome, we are held by a God whose purposes are steady, wise, and good.

This truth becomes deeply encouraging when the future feels unclear. God is never surprised by what lies ahead. The road into 2026 may hold changes we did not anticipate, prayers that take longer to be answered, or doors that close when we hoped they would open. Yet none of this is wasted in God’s hands. His purpose is not fragile. It is not threatened by detours or delays. Even when our plans fall apart, His plans continue to unfold with perfect intention, shaping us, strengthening us, and drawing us closer to Him.

As we move forward, we can walk into the new year with confidence—not because everything will go according to our plans, but because everything ultimately rests in God’s. Let us plan with faith, hold those plans with humility, and trust with courage. The same Lord who carried us through the past year will lead us into the next. His purpose will prevail, and that is more than enough reason to step into 2026 encouraged, hopeful, and at peace.

Happy New Year!
